The Education Branch of Daniel Rivas Music

So many people have dreams of becoming better singers and/or performers to really display their talent, but most aspiring artists have no
idea where to turn to, to learn about their craft.

Daniel Rivas is a voice teacher who generates support for aspiring and talented singers through the development of vocal skills,
technique, and music theory.  He is dedicated to each individual's enhancement of vocal ability and musical knowledge through his
positive and encouraging teaching methods.  He teaches the different and specific vocal techniques of all different types of music.  He
also teaches his students how to prepare for auditions through confidence and focus, rather than fear and doubt; an all too common tale
amongst performers.  His techniques and attitude teach a performer to embrace the world of auditioning and get rid of the "stage fright"
that seems to hinder most artists.  He specializes and provides insight for high school students interested in the Texas Music Educator's
Association's (TMEA)  district, region, area and state competition process offered to high school students in the state of Texas, since he
himself was a three-time Texas All-State Choir member.  He has already taught many successful voice students in the Cy-Fair school
district, where some have had the honor of becoming Texas All-Staters as well:  Jennifer Maul (Two-Time Texas All-Stater), Sophomore
Baritone Cameron Mousighi (age 15 at the time), Remington Belford (student conductor at LC) and Zachary MacLaren, whom as a
senior tenor 1, began studying with Mr. Rivas in the fall of 2005 (Daniel's first year of teaching professionally) to great success.  To this
day Daniel regards Zach as
" the only other reason why I still teach.  I continue to remind myself of how lucky I am for getting the chance
to have so many wonderful students who, like Zach, will never allow themselves to ever think for one second that I'm giving up on them.
So few students I teach or have taught can really say 'why' they are successful in addition to 'how is it that you're the best teacher on the
planet'?  I've had successful 'believers' as well as those who question my ability as a teacher.  I realize now that when I started teaching
Zach, I was getting the most perfect 'star student' for someone who, like me, had confidence in knowledge but not in ME..not as a teacher,
student, singer, etc.  To have faith in someone like I have for my students isn't possible to learn, but it was obviously powerful enough to
dodge my cynical nature.  I thought every teacher cared as much I do, but unfortunately that isn't so.  Add to that, care is far from talent,
and teaching as an art really IS as easy/hard as they say. I had teachers of all kinds, but it saddens me to know that I was taught
something that was so NOT right when I was the same age as most of my students are today.  But I guess it makes me a better person
because like anyone, I can teach the good things and NOT the unfortunate sets of mind I went through.  Zach's only detractor was Zach,
and after he let me go on and on about how the false thoughts of other people are used as an excuse for failure, I should keep doing this
until I KNOW in my bones that I 'lost'...I deserve my own failure, so I won't complain about detractors who 'cause failure because then
everything I taught him would be false".

Deuce 81 Productions: (currently also used as Daniel Rivas Music)
In 1999,  Jerry Coon and Daniel Rivas began producing beats and instrumentals on your everyday basic computer.  After listening and analyzing music, they decided
to begin with their own style.  Once others heard their creations, the rave reviews poured in.  They moved forward from the positive feedback and began producing
music for local artists.  The word got around fast, and now the company is on a fast rise. Artists are constantly looking for these two songwriters to produce their
demos and singles, and the Houston natives are making a steady impact on the music world.  They have literally produced dozens of songs, tracks and beats to create
two Deuce 81 albums.  The title album "Deuce 81" was completed in 2000 because of their love for music and songwriting, so they never expected the numerous
requests to make another LP.  "A Look Through Our Eyes" was finished as soon as 2003 arrived, and that was how Deuce 81 Productions was put on the map.  Just
two months before Daniel Rivas Music was established, the production team went "official" and started making plans to promote their material and music industry
knowledge to artists that are interested in obtaining professionally produced music and/or completely written songs.  The company offers a wide selection of music
and always works 100% to make sure the artist is completely satisfied with the product.  The two also specialize on artist development and providing great guidance
through the record industry.  If YOU are looking for professional producers to work with you and your creative expression, Deuce 81 Productions is the team to help
you create a finished musical product that is bound to attract attention!

Deuce 81 Productions is expanding their roster and is currently accepting band/artist submissions in the pop, r&b, hip-hop and rap genres. To send a
